Kasumi gave a small smile. “It’s been a while, Doc. Heard you’ve been busy lately.”

“Awhile indeed.” he responds with a small nod of the head a light smile to his lips. “Busy is an understatement. So much to do, but no complaints. As the humans say, keeps me on my toes. You?”

It didn’t take long for the smile to widen, if briefly, by his words. It was still the same salarian she met some odd months ago, comforting. “About the same. Crucible keeps me busy… hobbies keep me busy. I think everyone makes a point to keep their hands full. You free now though?”

The former would be a little… straightforward, while the later would mean the conversation might turn ugly down the road. “Like to keep active, huh? Can appreciate something like that,” she commented with a shrug. “Any particular destination in mind?”

“Somewhere with a decent cup of coffee. You wouldn’t be able to help me, would you?” Michal’s expression relaxed as she carefully folded her slender arms, eyeing the woman shamelessly.

“I might have a café in mind,” Kasumi replied, scrutinizing the other woman. What was her game exactly? She was fine with flirting, usually, but something didn’t seem quite right. “I can take you there if you want. It’s a short walk.”
